O sistema de jogo deve ser similar a uma antiga edição para Super Nintendo, que pode ser definida como uma espécie de RPG-futebol. Ou seja, em muitas situações, como no tête-à-tête entre os principais jogadores, haverá opções de comando para escolher. O êxito depende de fatores aleatórios. Ou seja, não é um game completamente de ação. A maior característica, porém, são os chutes mirabolantes das estrelas, quase indefensáveis.
O game contará as épocas de colegial e da seleção de juniores do protagonista. Sendo assim, ele enfrentará alguns dos melhores jogadores do mundo, como o alemão Karl Heinz Schneider, com seu chute de fogo, o argentino Juan Diaz e seu drible à prova de cortes, o goleiro italiano Gino Hernandez, que pega quase todos os chutes com o braço direito, e o Pierre LeBlanc, a torre de comando do selecionado francês.
A seleção japonesa também conta com estrelas, como o próprio Oliver, que tem no seu chute Drive a principal arma, o centroavante Hyuga, dono do tiro do tigre, e o ponta Misaki, que junto com Oliver faz o chute em dupla.
